CTM – Cooperazione nei Territori del Mondo was founded in Lecce in 1985 by a group of visionary volunteers, inspired by the values of Christian solidarity who have undertaken paths of international cooperation to promote the integral development of the person and the environment, the fight against poverty and social exclusion always alongside the most vulnerable: children, women, disabled, sick, refugees, elderly …
Since then, CTM, together with numerous local and international partners, has developed more than 50 initiatives overcoming the sterile paradigm of aid to embrace the logic of sharing and reciprocity starting from Salento to reach: Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Albania, Syria and above all Lebanon, a country with which an authentic and lasting friendship has been established.
“We are proud to have reached this important milestone without ever ceasing to believe in the values of peace and solidarity even in the current dramatic international scenario where the force of arms seems to prevail over dialogue and cooperation. In this difficult phase of crisis, we are aiming to strengthen institutional relations between Italy and Lebanon by supporting partnerships between municipalities and by supporting the vulnerable population through small-scale agricultural and dairy production programs.
